Monitor Issues:
• Why my monitor has a vertical picture moving?
Play with the vertical hold.
• Why do I have a white line going accross the screen?
The tube blew up. Request a RMA for replacement if is under warranty.
• Why my picture is not that crispy?
Check and diconnect anything that it is wireless because there might be and obstruction of interfereance. Or the camera might be to far away. Walls cut down the distance of range.
•Why I can hear sound but no picture?
First disconnect camera to see if monitor is not blown. If you see white noise or minitor screen turns on from blank to a light grey. Your monitor is fine. camera has to be replaced. also check if camera and monitor are in the same channel if one camera used.
• Why my monitor batteries are not lasting long?
when operated with battery you have to have in mind that it is a short time. A small black outs, etc. Mostly average is 2 hours. Infrared consumed more power so the shorter the lifetime might be.
• Can I have more than one monitor with the same camera?
Yes you can, just make sure that they are from the same company and also are compatible. So you must call first. Becasue they are. 2.GHz Wireless doesn't mean that they have the same receiver built-in.

Camera Issues:
• Can I use this camera outside?
If not specified in the box or web site please don't do it. Some get away with it putting in bird house or housing for it. But moisture and gets in and cuts short the lifetime of the camera.
• Why I see a white picture when my camera is looking out the window?
When this happens, move the camera away from window, you were creating a glare, also the infrared is bouncing from the glass of the window and over exposing into the lens which things would be super brighter.

Wired Products
Monitor Issues:
• In my quad monitor I can see 1,2,3 cameras but the 4th one can't see it. Why?
Test the camera in with cable that one it is working. Then test the cable. If they are working then a channel is burned in the quad or monitor.
• The back of the monitor looks like a S video connection. Can I connect another camera that I have made by somebody else?
Becareful because the pin configuration maight very from manufacturer to manufacturer. Example pin 1 might be Power for Security First and Sony® might be video or ground.

• My 4 Pin Din camera can I hook up to another system that I have?

Cable Issues:
• How do I know if my cable is bad?
First conduct a physical check on the cable/s to see that nothing heavier smushed it down exposing it to bare wire. Staples or nails are clamp in the middle. They can conduct a static picture or cut the cable inside. Change the channel to see is not the monitor and camera then. Those towar electronics use a power measurer to test it to see power gets through.


DVR (Digital Video Recorders)

Stand Alone DVR Issues:

• Why all the lights blinking in my stand alone DVR?
Probably a power surge that triggered the motherboard or power supply is burned. Inspect the power cord all the way down to see any marks or smell of burn.
• How can I reset the password even when master password doesn't work?
Power off the DVR, Disconnect the DVR, Unscrew all screws from it, Distache inside the ethernet card slowly and will find the backup battery. take battery out for one full minute and put everything back together, and the password will be reset.
• What port number has to be open for this SDVR-4080AN the Silver casing?
Port to Open 14337 > Port to Close 14338
• I can see the DVR in the other computers in the place except from away?
don't use your internal IP (example 192.168.1.1 or 2, 117, etc) look in the internet in your browser and look for your external IP. Keywords: IP config, what is my externet ip, ip reader, and so on. Then in your Client Viewer you type in your external IP and password to go in. Also contact your internet service provider to check that you are not behind a firewall in their service. if are please ask them to open you the ports that are required for the DVR to work properly over the internet. They have the rights to say no, so you can swicth services that they offer or their system can't handle type of adjustment.
• I have a router how do I open a port through my router?
Must find the manual of the Router to follow their instructions. And know which port number is required for DVR.
• I have a router, how can I get access for my set up/control panel?
One thing for sure is that you have to be wired to go into the router's control panel and not wireless. for this open intenet browser and type in the address and password that they provided you.

Rear View Products
Monitor Issues:
• Why I can't see a picture on the screen?
Check if the power LED is on for power. If not please check wires & cables for connection. If power is on the monitor disconnect the camera cable and see if any difference of statues. Press On/Off the automatic botton to see if monitor is not in 2 camera mode. Also check if seal on the camera is broken for moisture on the lens
• What are the wire colors stand for?
Please call and tell us which camera you have before you connect them if you are missing instruction or wire labels came off.
• What is mirror switch dipsticks for?
Those are for who want to flip the image horizontally. Left to right and whats on right to left
• Does it matter if I plug the camera C2 rather than C1?
It doesn't matter to which channel you plug into. Just select in front of the monitor which channel you have chosen. Example: Camera is connected in C1 and on the front you have pressed C2. You wouldn't be able to see what the camera is viewing.
• What does the Auto switch do?
Is meant for switching on the monitor from standby. You connect the reverse wire to one of your reverse tail light wire and your monitor will turn on when you do this.
• Can I have multiple monitors hooked to same camera?
You can have another monitor/s connected. On the back of monitor (black & white / green tube) You have a Video Out. So what ever the little monitor is viewing you will be able to see it in another one.
• What kind of voltage those the monitor handles?
12-24V
• Why are my colors in my color screen distored when I start it in the cold?
Please warm up the cabin to an appropiate temperature above 35°F to prevent it.
• Can I put a color camera in my B&W monitor to see it in color?
Nope, or vise versa
• Can I plug any camera to my system?
Make sure that their pin connection aligns and the right wire connection is too. Example Pin 1 for another name brand might be Video and for ours is Power.
• why my monitor turns off when am driving?
Make sure that all wires are connected right and tight and taped.
• Can I connect a VCR or Digital equipment to record from it?
Yes you can as long it is through a composite connection.
• Why I have no power?
check the power and ground, and even the reverse cable is connected. check fuse. Inspect wires to see nothing looks melted or burned. If can measure the input voltage to the monitor.
• Why the picture in the screen is looking smaller and smaller by time?
If this is happening please call, email, or fax the RMA department to replace the monitor if it's under warranty or purchase another one.
• Why the picture in the screen looks dimmed?
Monitor under exposure adjust the brightness and contrast, if these action doesn't change. disconnect the camera without taking your eyes from the screen to notice if it brightness it. If it those camera is under exposure. Adjust the angle of camera.
• Where can I get my monitor repaired?
As a 1st owner you have 1yr of warranty with proof of purchase receipt. First you have to get in contact with us to replace your unit or part. Some stores might offer exchange warranty on their locations. after contacting us you will be provided a RMA number, and then send your package so we can replace it. If you are a 2nd owner or out of warranty you are eligable to a discount purchase of another monitor.
• Why I get a fuzzy, static,unsharpen picture on the screen

Can be a low battery, loose cable, bad/broken cable. Moister in the camera, near a high voltage cable or anything going throught the cable. Any of these situations could be affecting your monitor.

Camera Issues:
• I don't have sound and I did before?
Check first that your volumne is not all the way down. If then do a quick inspection. Check that C1 or C2 is well connected and camera and cable too. Also check if anything is obstructing the microphone infront of the camera. If after you have done all this and no progress. Please give us a call.
• What is narrow or wide lens?
Narrow that you can see more in detail objects far away and upclose is blury.
Wide, beside you can see more wider also more detail but after certain amount of distance you cannot see in detail/clear.
• How far can I see with this camera?
Is meant to see under 10ft clear but above that you will still see but not clear.
